For one-bagging, Quip is slightly better than a regular disposable toothbrush in the sense that it does provide some motion in addition to the regular toothbrush, but it’s nowhere near your regular Oral-B electric toothbrush. Feel free to share your favorite bags and your packing lists. FWIW: Quip is an overrated electric toothbrush, but is still a good-enough option for one-bagging. Fewer items, packed into a single bag for ease of transport to make travelling simpler with more focus on the experience than the logistics. Years ago I tried using an electric toothbrush. Note: The quip does vibrate less and does require more manual brushing, but I think the timer that tells you when to switch quadrants in your mouth will still make a drastic difference in how well people brush.R/Onebag is a minimalist travel community devoted to the idea of lugging around less crap. Overall, even though I think the sonicare and oral-B do a better job, there are things I like about the quip such as it being quieter (so it's easier to use at work) it doesn't spray toothpaste everywhere when I hit certain angles of my teeth like my sonicare (which again, also makes it more convenient when I'm using it at work in my work clothes) and it's small and convenient to travel with to work and out of town. Currently, I also have a Quip that I carry around in my purse to use during the day at work, and it's also the brush I bring with me as a travel toothbrush when I go out of town. On a personal note of what I prefer for myself, I currently have a sonicare at home and I use to use the Oral-B (both of which I deem equal, with mainly just differences in how it feels in my hand and in my mouth). I do think the sonicare and oral-B do a better job overall, but the improvement I've seen patients have with the quip (compared to using a manual brush) is still significant. ![]() As a dentist, I have seen patients who start using the Quip toothbrush have improved home care at their 6month hygiene appointment compared to using the manual toothbrush.
